Section 1 - For Campers and land users

 


Standard Code of Conduct

 

  • LNT Leave No Trace - Leave No Trace is a set of outdoor ethics promoting conservation in the outdoors. It consists of seven principles and must be adhered to at all times:

  1. plan ahead and prepare,

  2. travel and camp on durable surfaces,

  3. dispose of waste properly,

  4. leave what you find,

  5. minimize campfire impacts,

  6. respect wildlife,

  7. be considerate of other visitors

  • Noise & Respect - Please respect others peace. Keep noise to a minimum between 10.30 p.m. and 8 a.m. If returning late from anywhere, please do so quietly. 

  • Responsibility - To prevent injury and costly damage do not climb on, over or remove stones from the dry-stone walls or other natural/man made features.  If you or any member of your party damages the dry-stone walls, logs ropes, fencing or cause any other damage , you may be required to leave immediately without refund and be liable for damages.

  • Discretion - Pitches are available at the discretion of the owners who reserve the right to refuse entry.

  • Arrival & Departure - Permission is set from 12:00 noon on the day of agreed arrival for 24hrs, On your day of departure all people and vehicles must leave no later than 12 am, unless a "late departure" has been agreed with the landowner.

  • Dogs - Owners are asked to regularly bag and bin all mess. Dogs must not be left unattended in tents, vans or cars. Please remember your dog is permitted access at the owners’ discretion and only if kept on a lead at all times. Any dog causing a nuisance to other visitors, wildlife, farm animals, horses or other will be required to leave. 

 

 

Acknowledgment & liability 

  • By receiving this agreement you agree to be bound by The Camping Bible, Wild Spots terms & conditions; and the (LNT) Leave No Trace ethos, meaning each wild spot must be left with no trace once your stopover is complete.

  • You agree that during your permitted stay you must not participate in any activities outside of your code of conduct agreement which has been provided generously by the land owner.

  • You acknowledge that you are responsible for your own welfare and safekeeping during your visit and that the landowner is not responsible for injuries or incidents that occur during your visit.

  • You agree that in the event of damage the landowner is entitled to indemnification compensation, this will be to return any area to its former condition only and at your expense.

  • You agree as lead booking nominee that you are fully responsible for other members of your party.

  • The landowner is entitled to refuse entry for any reason whatsoever and in these cases refunds will be judged by The camping Bible in the interests of fairness.

Certificate Fees, Refunds & Cancellations

  • Administration fees become immediately payable at the time of ordering your access certificate.

  • As fees are in respect of vetting and administrative costs and as such they are non-refundable, once the processing fee has been paid this can not be refunded. 

  • Changes to dates for paid fees will be at the landowners discretion only. 

 

Section 2 - For landowners and authorized agents

 

Fees, Payments, Deductions & Tax

  • Listings of your Wild Spot are free however only full paid active members of www.thecampingbible.co.uk may list their Wild Spot on our website, this is for transparency, recording and due diligence purposes. If you are not currently a full paid member please visit www.thecampingbible.co.uk/join-us to sign up now.

  • Fees will be taken from those wishing to visit your land upon booking and shall remain non-refundable as paid in respect of administration and permit issue.

  • The Camping Bible will charge a 20% admin and vetting fee for each certificate it issues on your behalf, this will be deducted from your visitors, we will not ask you for any fees upfront.

  • Payments are made monthly to you at the beginning of each month 1st or the Monday immediately following the 1st if the 1st should fall on a weekend or public holiday.

  • This agreement between you and thecampingbible.co.uk is on the basis that you are in business on your own account as a self-employed business, agent or agency and does not create a contract of employment.  You will therefore not be entitled to any holiday pay, sick pay or any other employment rights.

  • You understand that as you are not an employee of Digital Gorilla LTD/thecampingbible.co.uk you will therefore be responsible for all personal income tax, national insurance contributions, VAT and public liability insurance.  You further agree to indemnify thecampingbible.co.uk against any liability, assessment or claim made by the Inland Revenue or any other relevant authority arising out of the performance of this agreement.

 


Termination

  • This agreement may be terminated without any requirement for notice by either party, any outstanding fees will remain owed if partnership is ended by any party, unless a landowner is removed for fraudulent activities.

  • In the case of fraudulent activity the partner in question will be removed from wild spots service with immediate effect and no fees/returns shall be owed.

Miscellaneous 

  • Failure by thecampingbible.co.uk to enforce any part of this agreement will not be construed as a waiver of thecampingbible.co.uk rights under the agreement or prevent any further exercise of such rights by thecampingbible.co.uk

  • If any provision of this agreement shall be held illegal of unenforceable in whole or in part, such provision will be deemed not to form part of the agreement and shall not be affected.

Acknowledgement 

  • You acknowledge receipt of this agreement and have read, understood and consent to the contents when you sign up to our service.
